IAATO 30 Colouring Competition
Celebrating 30 years of advocating and promoting safe and environmentally responsible travel to Antarctica
We’re turning 30!
In 2021 The International Association of Antarctic Tour Operators (IAATO) is celebrating 30 years of advocating and promoting safe and environmentally responsible travel to Antarctica. To mark this exciting chapter in our history, we’ve created a commemorative patch and are asking you to decide how it will be coloured.
The design includes the Southern Ocean in the foreground and land in the distance with the sun peaking out over the icy landscape and a single Adelie penguin; a creature synonymous with Antarctica with it’s bold white eye-ring, black head and diminutive bill.
Our Antarctic Ambassadors voted the Adelie the winner of the our ‘World Cup of Antarctic Animals’ – a competition held over the summer in which 32 creatures great and small went head-to-head in a ‘just for fun’ Facebook popularity contest. It seemed only right to include this feisty little penguin on our anniversary patch.
Find out how to enter our colouring competition, and download your colouring sheet below.
