Social Media Workshop - Friday, 05 May (09:00-16:30)

Marketing, managing expectations and mitigating reputational risk

IAATO members need to balance high customer expectations while fulfilling the association's mission of safe, environmentally responsible Antarctic travel. IAATO's success over the last 25 years has led to a high degree of confidence amongst its stakeholders, but with demand for Antarctic travel expected to continue growing in a rapidly changing digital world, maintaining this reputation is more important that ever.

The morning session will give an insight into the potential of marketing with social media. The afternoon session will focus on crisis management using relevant scenarios.

This interactive workshop will be facilitated by Scott Hamilton from Escott Hunt Ltd, a company that is familiar with the unique challenges and opportunities of working in Antarctica.
