World Albatross Day 2022
The International Association of Antarctica Tour Operators has embraced the arrival of the inaugural World Albatross Day, brought to life by the Agreement on the Conservation of Albatrosses and Petrels (ACAP).
The global event, which launched on June 19, 2020, the same day that the ACAP agreement was signed in 2001, was brought about in response to the continuing conservation crisis faced by the 31 seabird species protected by the organisation.
To mark the annual event, we have produced a series of albatross infographics for use on social media, as well as an A3 and [US size] poster which can be sent to your would-be guests to get them in the spirit of the occasion, shared across your social media channels or printed off for display on IAATO vessels and deep field locations to raise awareness of the annual event.
We hope you’ll join us in spreading the news about the plight of the albatross, sharing the valuable work of the ACAP and celebrating this magnificent species.

The poster will be available to the public for download on iaato.org from June 19 – World Albatross Day.
