Heritage Expeditions

An IAATO member since 1993, Heritage Expeditions of New Zealand operates the 50 passenger ice reinforced research vessels Spirit of Enderby and Akademik Shokalskiy. Founded in 1985 by Rodney & Shirley Russ, Heritage Expeditions operates voyages throughout the Pacific with a focus on the New Zealand and Australian Subantarctic Islands (Campbell, Macquarie, Auckland, Bountys, Antipodes and Snares Islands) as well as the Ross Sea Region of Antarctica. Each year features a varied selection of voyages from 7 to 30 days including a birding spectacular through all the Subantarctic Islands, indepth explorations of the Ross Sea, coastal New Zealand programmes. Expeditions are noted for their sense of camaraderie, experienced staff and sense of adventure in the expedition spirit.
