The Press Office
The IAATO Communications Team is on hand to support members of the press, media organisations and researchers with their enquiries.
Welcome to the IAATO Press Office
We aim to create engaging, educationally enriching communications with which to share and explain the work of IAATO, advocate and promote the practice of safe and environmentally responsible travel to the Antarctic, and create a corps of ambassadors for the region.
The IAATO Communications Team manages all media relations for the organisation, from creating and issuing press releases and developing blog content to sharing updates about robust new operational protocols, the latest visitor figures, research, and citizen science initiatives.
We facilitate interviews with members of IAATO, give background briefings on issues relating to responsible tourism operations in Antarctica, and support media organisations with digital media requests.
