HX | Hurtigruten Expeditions is one of the world’s leading operators in exploration travel in polar waters. With 7 vessel expedition fleet, HX explores Antarctica, Greenland, Spitsbergen, Arctic Canada, Iceland, Norway and many places other places all over the world.
HX's expedition vessel MS Fram (2007) runs expedition cruises to polar destinations such as Greenland, Antarctica, Iceland and Spitsbergen. The ship has a capacity of 250 guests, experienced expedition staff and a wide portfolio of onboard activities, landings and excursions.
In 2015 HX launched MS Midnatsol as their second ship in Antarctica in the 2016/17 season with Punta Arenas Chile as turnaround port. The company also expanded their expedition vessel fleet the same year with the introduction of MS Spitsbergen Arctic expedition service from the 2016 season.
In 2019 MS Roald Amundsen and 2020 MS Fridtjof Nansen were introduced. The worlds first Hybrid expedition vessels build specifically for Polar travel sailing from Punta Arenas and Ushuaia.
From 2021 MS Maud and MS Otto Sverdrup operate Expedition cruises in Europe.
Hurtigruten Svalbard, located in Longyearbyen offers land based all-year Arctic experiences, including conference facilities, group tours and individual programs and owns and runs three hotels.
Hurtigruten Norwegian Coastal Express operates the classic coastal route on the Norwegian coast. The route between Bergen and Kirkenes is operated by 7 Hurtigruten ships, with departures from Bergen in an 11-day rotation schedule. The service is year-round and includes 34 ports of call northbound and 33 ports of call southbound.
