Selma Expeditions

Selma Expeditions Ltd. are the owner of S/Y Selma Expeditions. We specialise in sailing expeditions to the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia Island, and Falklands/ Malvinas. We are also able to organise and support expeditions for climbers, hikers, divers, skiers, photographers, scientists, and other explorers and wildlife enthusiasts. We have developed our knowledge and experience during many sailing trips to northern and southern regions worldwide. Our sailing explorations of the far North and South began more than fifteen years ago. We have sailed to Iceland and Spitsbergen. In 2015, we successfully crossed the Northwest Passage, exploring Greenland. We have circumnavigated both the South and North Americas. Before these journeys, we took part in the 2014 Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race; in early 2015, we explored the Ross Sea and were awarded the Guinness World Record for most southerly navigation – to the Bay of Whales. During this expedition, we also climbed Mount Erebus / 3,794 metres (12,448 ft)/ - the southernmost active volcano on Earth. We also explored the Weddell Sea, and continue to discover new and amazing locations in the Antarctic Peninsula. S/Y Selma Expeditions has been fitted and equipped with specific intent to organise trips to regions difficult to access by more conventional means, and can carry up to 12 passengers and crew. The design of the boat and her equipment allow us to organise voyages for groups with diverse interests.
