Terra Nova Expeditions
Terra Nova Expeditions (TNE) is a small, collaborative, science-focused Antarctic operator built on decades of combined polar experience. Between collaboration and community input, we are truly a company owned by the Antarctic community. We offer small-ship adventures that are authentic, intimate, and unforgettable—true expeditions in every sense. Alongside the guest voyages, TNE also will support the wider Antarctic community by using its vessel, the St Helena, to assist with cargo transport, gear delivery, and logistical needs for research stations and fellow operators. The company will work closely with scientists conducting long-term ecological studies, providing two dedicated berths onboard every voyage, to a science team, while giving passengers meaningful opportunities to engage with real research and deepen their understanding of the Antarctic environment. A key part of TNE’s mission is building the next generation of environmental ambassadors. TNE has developed a series of dedicated student voyages focused on sustainability, climate change, and conservation; offering scholarships for students from underserved communities; and partnering with youth-focused polar education programs to expand access and inspire young people through hands-on experiences, science, and education. Across all operations, TNE prioritizes strong safety standards, full IAATO compliance, and low-impact field practices. By combining responsible expedition travel with scientific collaboration, youth engagement, and community-minded logistical support, Terra Nova Expeditions aims to strengthen connections between people and Antarctica while contributing positively to the broader polar community.
